What is Constructive Healing Anyway?

By Teresa Tisserat

Constructive Healing is a division of Noyes Art Designs that consists of 2 key essentials to what we do: 1) It’s the title of our design concept. 2) We have an art in healing project called: The Hands Kit --Connected by Love, that is based off of the same idea.

The reason Noyes Art Designs designs are so successful is because we use the Constructive Healing Design Concept. This model, coined by our president Nancy Noyes, creates a flow by arranging different sized and shaped artwork in the proper scale around the Constructive Healing Cycle where nature’s five elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood) are represented symbolically through the artwork.  “What is so “healing” about this concept?” one might ask. Just as the elements support one another in nature, they can help balance our environment in the physical world.

For Example:

Metal holds

Water, which feeds

Wood which fuels

Fire whose ashes enrich the

Earth which then decompresses and creates Metal

Patients, doctors, family members, and staff have all complimented our design schemes by simply saying that anxiety vanishes as they enter our healthcare projects. What better feeling is there than knowing that when you come to work, or seek medical attention, that you can enter a building that portrays trust, passion, knowledge, growth, life, vitality, and strength?

We constantly hear praises and flattering remarks about our art design in the corporate world as well. The Constructive Healing Cycle can bring productivity, stability, and an atmosphere that is satisfying to not only your employees and co-workers, but to your customers as well. Now who wouldn’t want that!

The Hands Kit – Connected by Love was created upon the same belief.  If nature’s five elements can help create a balanced and healing atmosphere, then why couldn’t they help those seeking connection and support? We couldn’t think of a reason why they couldn’t, so we have made a simple kit with all the materials necessary to do so.

Have you ever wondered what element best represents you as a person? Take that thought, and lets go deeper with it. What element are you in a particular situation? For instance, what element do you represent at work, at home, with friends?  Many of us represent different elements in different conditions, and it can be beneficial to discover and be aware of what energy you are bringing to your given surroundings.

The Hands Kit – Connected by Love is a great way to discover what element you are in conjunction with those around you. Perhaps you or a family member is fighting Cancer, or another debilitating disease.  Maybe you are bringing a new person into your circle of life. Is there a possibility you simply need to reconnect with a loved one, family member, friend, or co-worker?  The Hands Kit can help in each of these situations. By gathering in groups you will ultimately experience connection and support by discussing your situation, and by deciding who depicts Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. At the same time, you are able to create an art project by tracing and cutting out your hands in the color of paper that is symbolic to the element you represent. Remember, just like in our Constructive Healing Design Concept, when all five of nature’s elements are present, it creates harmony and balance. By creating this art project with each element, you are bringing the energy needed to your situation.

So know that, if life throws you a twist, there is a way to connect with those around you!
