Artwork has the Power to Transform

Every Type of Interior Space...
Below you will find examples of a few projects that Noyes Art Designs has designed. Notice how the artwork completes each space.
North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, CO
North Colorado Medical Center expanded upon the Patient Centered Care model as we designed the entire project around nature's Constructive Healing Cycle. Using metal, water, wood, fire, and earth elements in a circle in the Entry Lobby to create harmony, trust, and stability upon entering the hospital. The atrium pictured here presented a challenge because we knew we wanted clouds in that space; but we needed a fire element in our circle. As the shape depicted in the Fire element is irregular, serrated, or pointy, we had to find the type of cloud that could have pointed ends. Once we solved that problem, the clouds materialized into this stunning installation that falls down though four stories of the new hospital.
Longmont United, Longmont, CO
This is a special project which emulates the Planetree Concept of healthcare. The Planetree Concept has been developed to incorporate all forms of healing (i.e. medical practices, art, music, plants, education, etc.) in order to get the patient to his optimal health level before leaving the hospital. There is no medical equipment in the hallways, the architecture is designed to have curves and other appealing angles rather than sharp angles.

There were 8 art niches on each floor. We designed each niche to have something not only appealing, but dimensional in order to bring interest and stimulation to patients as they walked the hallways. We designed each wing in a unique style to match the medical function. For example, the women’s wing had stylized women or soft textures like a quilt, while the pediatric wing had more playful artwork.

 Chapparal, Niwot, CO
A high tech company, Chaparral called for more contemporary, energetic artwork. The main focus was a stairwell wall of fifteen 12” X 12” ceramic tiles, which were built up with various materials to create interest, texture, and color. From the lobby to the executive boardroom, this theme was followed. The hallways were spotted with large pieces, which added some diversion going from one area to another in this large facility.

Breast Diagnostic Center, Torrance ,CA
AIA Design Merit Award
The architecture of this center set the tone for the contemporary California woman. Our focal piece is a 10’ X 10’ niche in which we designed a double sided painted glass piece that is done in 10 squares of glass, and is installed on a cable system. The design is a take-off of the Dancing Muses by Matisse. Our modernization of this is to have modern women in a playful dance. Tina Turner and Janet Jackson are among the dancers in this piece.
